We are seeking an accomplished and visionary VP of Engineering to lead our engineering division in Girona. This executive role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record in scaling engineering teams, driving product innovation, and delivering high-quality, robust software solutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in defining our technical strategy, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and ensuring our engineering efforts align with our overall business objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple engineering teams, managing complex projects, and driving the adoption of best practices in software development, architecture, and agile methodologies. This role is crucial for our continued growth and technological leadership.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Develop and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
• Lead, mentor, and scale multiple engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to deployment and maintenance.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software architecture, design patterns, testing, and devOps.
• Manage technical debt and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our products and platforms.
• Collaborate closely with product management, sales, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent, including performance management and career development.
• Manage the engineering budget, resources, and project timelines effectively.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into our strategy.
• Represent the engineering department within the executive leadership team and externally.

Habilidades Requeridas

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a VP or similar executive role.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern software development methodologies and technologies.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of scalable and distributed system architectures, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and microservices.
• Expertise in agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise software development, particularly in domains relevant to Indra’s business sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in managing global or distributed engineering teams.
