We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Gallery Assistant to join our vibrant team in Jerez de la Frontera. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about the arts to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic cultural environment. The Gallery Assistant will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our exhibition spaces, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and contributing to the smooth running of our cultural programs.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Greet and assist gallery visitors, providing information about current exhibitions, artists, and the foundation's programs.
• Monitor gallery spaces to ensure the safety and security of artworks and visitors.
• Handle sales of exhibition catalogues, merchandise, and tickets, accurately processing transactions.
• Assist with the installation and de-installation of exhibitions, under the guidance of the curatorial team.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of gallery spaces, ensuring a professional and inviting environment.
• Respond to visitor inquiries in person, by phone, and via email, offering excellent customer service.
• Support administrative tasks such as record-keeping, inventory management, and scheduling.
• Assist with special events, workshops, and educational activities held within the gallery.
• Collect visitor feedback and contribute to improving the overall gallery experience.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional evenings, as required by exhibition schedules.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Previous experience in a gallery, museum, cultural institution, or customer service role.
• A degree or background in Art History, Fine Arts, Cultural Management, or a related field.
• Fluency in English and/or other languages (beyond Spanish) is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of local and international art scenes.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
