We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Inspector – NDT to join our dynamic team in Alicante. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welding operations through comprehensive inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance for our projects.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Perform visual inspections of welds in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
• Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including but not limited to Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Radiographic Film Interpretation (RTFI).
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all tests performed.
• Identify and document welding defects, recommend corrective actions, and verify their implementation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, national and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, AWS, API).
• Collaborate with project managers, welding engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical expertise on welding and NDT matters.
• Maintain all NDT certifications and continuously update knowledge on industry best practices.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Certified Welding Inspector (e.g., CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, EWE/IWE).
• NDT Level II certifications in UT, MPT, PT (essential).
• Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR).
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive reports.
• Valid driver's license.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• NDT Level II certification in RTFI (Radiographic Film Interpretation).
• Experience with phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) or time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD).
• Previous experience in the energy, oil & gas, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus, though not strictly required for internal communication.
