We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Yacht Deckhand / Marina Worker to join our English-speaking crew in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the marine industry, eager to learn, and possess a strong work ethic. You will be an integral part of our marina operations and yacht support services, ensuring the smooth running of our facilities and providing assistance to our clients. This is an on-site position requiring physical presence at our marina.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Assist with the mooring and unmooring of vessels, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of marina facilities, docks, and yachts.
• Conduct daily checks of marina equipment and report any malfunctions or damage.
• Support yacht owners and crew with various requests, including provisioning and technical assistance.
• Operate small boats (ribs, tenders) for transfers and assistance.
• Participate in emergency response procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Assist with painting, varnishing, and other upkeep tasks on yachts and marina infrastructure.
• Handle lines, fenders, and other deck equipment proficiently.
• Support waste management and recycling initiatives within the marina.

Habilidades Requeridas

• Proficient spoken and written English communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of marine operations and vessel handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training (preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate).
• Understanding of maritime safety protocols.

Cualificaciones Preferidas

• Previous experience working on yachts, in marinas, or similar maritime environments.
• RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of Spanish (beneficial but not required).
